Kathy McCormick Deol, ARNP/CNM

Masters in Midwifery Science, Philadelphia University (2007). Board certified in Midwifery (American Midwifery Certification Board) (2007). BSN (Nursing), Iowa Wesleyan College, IA (2003).

Kathy practices Women’s Health Care, emphasizing holistic, natural treatment, coupled with traditional medicine.  Her 13 years of attending births, at home and in the hospital, have uniquely qualified her to meet the needs of her clients with skill, understanding and compassion. Kathy’s current areas of focus include well-woman care and gynecology, hormonal/emotional balancing, family planning including fertility concerns, as well as comprehensive care of women throughout the lifespan.

Bioidentical hormone supplementation is also available for women experiencing perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms. Bioidentical hormones are chemically the same as what the body naturally produces. Levels are monitored thru initial and periodic serum and/or saliva testing to ensure proper dosage. Kathy has full prescription privileges and is able to perform and/or order medical or lab testing as appropriate for total patient care. Kathy’s philosophy of care emphasizes the provider/client relationship, fostering collaboration toward the common goal of complete health and well-being.

Prior to her certification as a nurse-practitioner, Kathy studied and apprenticed under mentor midwives, eventually practicing as a direct-entry midwife for the past 13 years.  A long time community activist, Kathy continues to diligently support the legislation that would legalize this form of home birth midwifery.  Kathy has also provided mentorship to pregnant teens and young mothers, hosted educational events to raise awareness of healthcare access for women at risk, and supports the rights of women to choose the healthcare options that serve them best.
